Should There Be No School On Fridays?
If there was a 4-day weekend would the students improve? Would the students be more awake at school? Or will there be a lack of focus, and no improvement? There is a school in Preston Idaho, and they have no school on Fridays. They have been doing this for a couple of years. The teachers there have noticed the students are more awake and they are improving, so the school has kept it with a 4-day week.
The good thing about this is that it gives the students an extra day to do homework. It also gives them a chance to be their families, and sports. A study by Tulane University showed that under a four-day week, teachers were absent less often. Also the kids were less tary/late to class.

This may hurt the students when they grow up because when they take a job they may need to work the whole week, and they’ll be use to having a day off on fridays. But that won’t happen to every single students. The schools that tried having a 4-day week, they have stuck with it because test scores and everything improved.

  1. I believe we should have no school on Fridays because it shows that the students are improving at that school in Idaho
