The Park City High School (PCHS) girls’ lacrosse team has always been a big-time team. Multi-year state champions, the team never fails to impress when they step on the lacrosse field. The varsity team started their season off with two big wins last week, beating West 22-1 in their first home game and then beating Woods Cross 20-3 in their first away game.
The team also took a trip to California this past weekend. They looked at it as a chance to match up with “tough West Coast squads.” Although the program has not posted any results yet, the team played Foothill High School and Canyon Crest High School in the mini tournament.
Coach Kassandra Lemons said she is very proud of what the girls have been able to accomplish in the past couple years. She says that when they play, they all make each other look good, which is a sign of good teamwork. She also says that the program is full of very committed players and she is very happy about that. Lemons is excited to see what the rest of the season brings for this team who has made winning a habit.
The team’s next home game is Wednesday, March 23 against Jordan High School at Dozier Field.
