The musical Peter Pan premiered on NBC as the networks second live musical, after Sound of Music. The role of Peter is played by Allison Williams, an amazing singer and perfect Peter. The role of Wendy is played by Taylor Louderman, and the story follows the basic Peter Pan outline.
Peter visits Wendy Darlings house to get his shadow back, and when she finds him instead of wondering why exactly an oddly dressed dude is wrestling a shadow in her room, she sews the shadow back on and gives him a tour.
Wendy and her two younger brothers decide to run away to Netherland with Peter. They meet pirates and indians and Lost Boys (oh my). In the final battle Peter must save all the inhabitants of Netherland by defeating the lead pirate, Captain Hook and feeding him to a crocodile who ate his hand.
Although the costumes were a little bit weird, the acting was good and it was pretty funny sometimes too. Though the fact that grown up Wendy gave her daughter to Peter so she could visit Netherland which seemed a bit reckless, considering how many times Wendy nearly died. Well, she knows what she's doing. Maybe.
