If students want to win award and compete in competitions around the nation then join FBLA!
FBLA-PBL or Future Business Leaders of America is a “nonprofit educational association for middle school, high school, and collegiate students who are interested in learning more about the free enterprise system” according to the FBLA-PBL website (http://www.fbla-pbl.org/). FBLA-PBL or FBLA established in 1940 in Reston, Virginia by Hamden L. Forkner. FBLA was started to give business, management, and other skills important to business in the minds of young high schoolers.
Park City High School (PCHS) has an FBLA club as well. Danny Fisher is the advisor of the club then, there are students on the board. This includes Julia Alcox, Anneka Cimos, Dominic Croce,
Rachel Frain, Julia Lazzaroni, Charles Leonard, Makayla Trask. Then there are students in it as well. FBLA at PCHS are seeking new members .
There are actually 57 member of FBLA at PCHS, but for people who goes to the meeting and competitions that narrows the member down to 17.
Makayla Trask; President of FBLA at PCHS, says “At state we want to ‘crush’ Wasatch High School and for that we need more members.”
Anna Deimling; a Student at Treasure Mountain Junior High says, “currently I am not in FBLA because I was busy with sports when it started, but now that that is over I can join.”
FBLA is desperate for more members. State is coming up in March and if FBLA at PCHS doesn’t win then the team is not going to go to nationals. Which would effect many people on the team.
