Banksy Mess

David Noll of Modesto, California has admitted to vandalizing the Banksy artwork on Main Street, and is facing punishments. He was homeless, cold and without a coat, when he decided to travel to Park City. He says that he was just angry, and decided to destroy the art. “I feel responsible and I feel terrible about it. You know, like, I feel guilt, and regret and sadness over it. And I feel I’m now able to empathize with the people like that, you know, lost their property, you know. . .” Some believe that Noll was just jealous, being another competing artist.

Banksy is an anonymous street artist. His real name is unknown, and yet to be found. Banksy began to draw his art in different places in 1990. The last time Banksy has graffitied was in 2013.

Noll did attempt to destroy and spray paint over the art on the garage just behind of the Cunningham Building. He did not attempt to destroy the framed and glassed art outside of Java Cow. The only damage that was done to this art was cracked glass on the outside of the graffiti. He is now in prison, but not for a long time.
This photo is of the art in the alley by Java Cow, which now has a frame and glass around it.

This photo was taken before David Noll vandalized the art, and the picture below is after he vandalized the art.
