A Royal Visit to New York

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Princess Kate, made a visit to New York on Sunday, December 7th. They met the president of The United States, bumped into musical sensations, and witnessed protests. They only took a three day trip, so that they can get back to their 17 month-old baby, George. Kate is pregnant with her second baby, and is due in April 2015.
While the Prince met and chatted with President Obama and received a tour of the White House, (afterwards presenting a speech) Kate toured New York with the first lady of New York. The Prince also met Hillary Clinton.
Later that day they went to an NBA basketball game at the Barclays Center. The teams who played were the Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers; the Cavaliers won. They arrived at the game half way through the third quarter, and later bumped into the musical sensations Beyonce and Jay-Z and spoke for a while.
At the end of the game LeBron James (also known as King James) met them, and gave them two jerseys, including one for baby George.

They also made an appearance at the National Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum. Kate left flowers and a note that said, “In sorrowful memory of those who died on 11th September and in admiration of the courage shown to rebuild. William and Catherine.” The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge concluded their short trip at a fundraiser for scholarships at St. Andrews University where they fell in love.
