Top 3 Places to Visit in Park City

Although there are many interesting places to visit in Park City, there are definitely three “must-sees” when it comes to sightseeing:

1. Main Street/Old Town

Main Street and Old Town are very popular areas in Park City. Old Town surrounds Main Street and includes many small, historic houses. Similarly, Main Street is a fun place to walk around and see the small businesses of Park City. It’s one of the most historic areas in the town. There are many things to do including shopping, eating, and even visiting the Park City Museum.

2. Utah Olympic Park (UOP)
Utah Olympic Park is the home to many Olympic tracks and jumps. Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Olympics, and Park City was used for many events. Four of the events held in Park City included the luge, bobsled, skeleton, and ski jumping. One of the Olympic luge, bobsled, and skeleton tracks is located at UOP, as well as two of the Olympic ski jumps. There are also smaller ramps with a pool below, where athletes can practice their tricks in the warmer seasons.

3. Park City Mountain Resort (now known as Park City)
After the combination of Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyons resort, Park City became the largest ski resort in the country. There is so much to ski, it’s nearly impossible to ski a fair amount of runs on both mountains in one day. Not to mention the new and improved lodges, as well as the new Quicksilver Gondola. The Quicksilver Gondola is the gondola that takes skiers and snowboarders between the two resorts and, surprisingly, doesn’t take as much time as some would expect.

After interviewing Park City teen, Grace Donahue, she agreed that the top places to visit in Park City are Main Street and Old Town. She said, “Main Street and Old Town capture the historic aspect of the town and there are a lot of good restaurants in that area.”

Whether you’re visiting Park City or live here, make sure to stop by these places sometime in the future.
