Storming the Hill With Hillary

Hillary Rodham Clinton announced that she is running for President in the 2016 Presidential Bid.  She announced her election through a two minute video which was released on Sunday, April 12. She is very excited to run and tells us; “Everyday Americans need a champion. And I want to be that champion,” Clinton said. “So I’m hitting the road to earn your vote — because it’s your time. And I hope you’ll join me on this journey.”  "I would totally vote for Hillary Clinton", says TMJH student.
The last time she ran was in 2008 where she was the leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.  Where Obama was the candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.  One of the issues that she will take up earnestly is equal pay.  Statistics have shown us that on average, a woman’s pay for both 2014 and 2015 equal a man’s pay for just 2015.

“Being the first woman to run for president with a real chance of winning, that’s a wild card, but potentially a new positive, particularly for undecided women,” said Scott Keeter, director of survey research at the Pew Research Center.

Mrs. Clinton has strong support, 81% of Democrats said that they would consider voting for her states a CBS News poll.  Just eight years ago she sent an e-mail to supporters and said that she was in it to win it.  “Although we weren’t able to shatter that highest, hardest glass ceiling this time, thanks to you, it’s got about 18 million cracks in it,” she said. “And the light is shining through like never before, filling us all with the hope and the sure knowledge that the path will be a little easier next time."
