Valentine’s Day is a day of love and happiness—for those who have a reason to celebrate it. If you happen to be one of the many women in this world who does not have a Valentine in their life, here are some ways to celebrate this holiday, without a special someone:
WHAT TO DO WITH FRIENDS:
- have a romantic movie marathon and hate on it as a group
- get dressed up really nice and go to a fancy dinner
- have a spa day
- forget “Valentine’s Day”, it’s “GALentine’s Day”
- have a regular girls’ night in (or out, depending on your situation)
- have a chocolate fondue party
WHAT TO DO IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY FRIENDS:
- wrap yourself in a cocoon of blankets and watch Netflix as you put yourself into a candy coma
- buy yourself CandyGrams at school and sign them from “Your Secret Admirer” and act super surprised when they are delivered to you
- tell everyone you have plans with your Valentine, but really go home and eat all the chocolate you want because YOU ARE AWESOME
- veg out
- treat yourself to mental health day away from society because you’re an unsocial introvert and you don’t need anyone to make you happy
- blast music throughout the house and dance like you’re at a rave
- draw, paint, CREATE
- read, read, read, you can never go wrong with reading a book you love
- revel in your singleness
WHAT TO DO NO MATTER WHAT (even if it’s not Valentine’s Day):
- celebrate love itself
- laugh at everything, just because
- pamper yourself in self-love
- be happy with yourself
- stay healthy
- DON’T WORRY because it will all be okay in the end (and if it’s not okay, it’s not the end)
